Instrument Panel Retainer Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the right close out panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side (LHD) (Service and Repair).
3. Remove the hood release handle. Refer to Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Replacement (Service and Repair).





Note: The right side is shown, the left side is similar.

4. Remove the I/P retainer to I/P carrier retaining screws (1).
5. Remove the I/P retainer.

Installation Procedure




1. Align the I/P retainer to the I/P carrier.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the I/P retainer to I/P carrier retaining screws (1) and tighten to 2 Nm (18 lb in)..
3. Install the hood release handle. Refer to Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Replacement (Service and Repair).
4. Install the right close out panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side (LHD) (Service and Repair).
5. Install the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement (Service and Repair).
