Concern:





Rear seats occupants may force the seat backs into the folded down Cabriolet top linkage, possibly causing damage or misadjustment to the top drive and linkage.


General Information:





Rubber stops have been installed on the frame of the seat backs. The stop was introduced into production as of April 1, 1992. See Figure 2.


Repair Information:
The rubber stops may be fitted into vehicles prior to April 1, 1992 production. A quantity of two stops will be needed for each vehicle.

The surface where the stop is to be placed must be clean and free of oil and grease.









Remove the protective strip from the back of the rubber stop and apply the rubber stop to the seat back frame. Position it approximately 15 mm from where the upholstery ends. See Figures 2 and 3.
