Idle Speed: Testing and Inspection

Idle speed is electronically controlled. This procedure is only used to verify idle speed is within normal range.

1. Connect tachometer.
2. Start engine and allow idle to stabilize.

880 ± 40, idle speed OK. End of test.
Not 880 ± 40, proceed to next step.
