Disassembly





- Remove lock nut with Special Tools 9505 and 9503.





- Press out drive pinion with Special Tool 9504 and standard spindle M 14 x 1.5 (e.g. Kukko 2011).

Assembly





A = Outer bearing race
B = Outer bearing race
O = Pressing tool VW 511
D = Pressing tool 9502
E = Threaded spindle VW 517
F = Shim "53

- Heat housing up to approx. 120 °C (248 °F) and pull in outer bearing races with Special Tools VW 517, VW 511 and 9502.
- Only fill with transmission oil after gearbox has been installed and central pipe fined.
