Impact Sensor: Service and Repair

1. Disarm air bag system as described under "Disarming and Arming Air Bag System."
2. Disconnect sensor electrical connector.
3. Using tool No. P9259, remove sensor mounting nuts, then remove sensor.
4. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Prior to installation, ensure sensor mounting contact surface is bare down to the metal.
b. Use a 1/4 inch socket to tighten the shear-off bolts.
c. After completing installation, arm air bag system as described under "Air Bag System Disarming And Arming."
