Fuel Delivery and Air Induction: Testing and Inspection

1. Remove intercooler and air cleaner assembly.
2. Remove hot film mass air flow sensor.
3. Remove protective grille from right-hand side.








4. Attach sealing plate 9264/1 with M 4 x 40 bolts to hot film mass air flow sensor.

NOTE: Before tightening the bolts to the final torque, check positioning of hot film mass air flow sensor on the sealing plate, i.e. no light gap must be visible when a visual check is made.

5. Refit intercooler.

Oil Tank:

6. Take off front wheel housing half from righthand rear wheel housing. Plug molded hose for oil tank pressure release valve with a suitable plug.




7. Build up a pressure of approx. 0.5 bar. When building up the pressure, larger leaks are easily detected by a blowing noise while smaller leaks may be located with leak tracer spray.

NOTE: The leak check covers the entire intake system, the intercooler pressure section and the oil tank.
