Data Output With Porsche System Tester 2




Overview of possible menus:

The following menus can be called up with the Porsche System Tester 2:

Identification:

Control module identification data can be read out with this menu item.

The following data items are displayed, among others:

- Chassis number
- Porsche part number
- Hardware version
- Software version
- Production data


Fault Memory:
The number of faults, the fault texts and the Porsche fault code are displayed in menu item Fault Memory. In order to obtain additional information about a fault, select the fault item (reverse-video display) and press the >> key.


Erase Fault Memory:

NOTE: The fault memory can be erased only if it was first read out at least once. The entire fault memory is always erased.


Drive Links:

Drive links (actuators) of the ECM can be activated by the Porsche System Tester 2 with this menu. This allows the functions of the drive links to be assessed quickly.

The following drive links can be activated:

Passive (only ignition on)

- Idle air control valve
- A/C compressor
- EVAP canister purge valve
- Engine compartment purge fan
- Secondary air pump
- Check Engine MIL
- Radiator fan
- RPM signal
(Tachometer indicates 1000 rpm)
- Fuel pump relay (fuel pump)

Active (engine running)

- Deactivation of injection valves
- Switch of the VarioCam system, cylinders 1 - 3
- Switch of the VarioCam system, cylinders 4 - 6


Input Signals:

The following input signals can be read in:

- Idle detection
- Wide open throttle detection
- A/C compressor switch
- Reference mark signal
- Transmission range switch (with Tiptronic)
- Fuel reserve signal
- Start enable switch (with manual transmission)

- Hot film MAF

- Voltage, oxygen sensor ahead of catalytic converter, cylinders 1 - 3

CO Adjustment:

This menu item is irrelevant for vehicles with OBD II. (CO adjustment is possible only on vehicles without catalytic converters.)
