Change of spare parts - intake camshaft.

Information:

Effective immediately, intake camshafts supplied as spare parts are delivered without the rotor (sensor tab) for the hall sender. A new rotor (996.105.129.52) must be fitted before a new intake camshaft is installed.

Work Procedure:

Fitting of rotor on the intake camshaft for cylinder banks 1 - 3 or 4 - 6.

- Clean the mounting area of the intake camshaft and rotor thoroughly (must be free from grease - e.g. with "Loctite Cleaner"). Coat the seating surface of the rotor with "Loctite 270".

- Affix the new rotor in the correct position by hand.

- On a workshop press, use the pressure piece - special tool 9628 - to press the rotor onto the seat of the inlet camshaft. Use pressure plate VW 402 as the camshaft support surface on the workshop press.
