P0101
P0101
Mass Air Flow Sensor Signal implausible.
P0102
Mass Air Flow Sensor, below lower limit.
P0103
Mass Air Flow Sensor, above upper limit.
Function:
The Mass Air Flow Sensor delivers a signal to calculate the intake air mass. The intake air mass is an exact measurement for the load condition of the engine.
Diagnostic Conditions:
Engine speed is higher than 400 rpm and at least 0.8 seconds after starting the engine.

Diagnostic Procedure:
DTC P0101:
DTC P0102:
DTC P0103:
1. Check wiring from MAF Sensor to ECM for continuity.
1. Remove MAF Sensor connector.
2. Connect special tool 9616 to wiring harness.
3. Connect ohmmeter to special tool 9616, pin 17 and MAF Sensor connector, pin 5.
Specified Value: 0 - 5 Ohms.
If meter reads infinity Ohms, check wiring harness for chafing and pinching damage.
2. Check wiring from MAF Sensor to ECM for short to ground.
1. Remove MAF Sensor connector.
2. Connect special tool 9616 to wiring harness.
3. Connect ohmmeter to special tool 9616, pin 17 and ground.
Specified Value: Infinity Ohms.
If meter reads 0 - 5 Ohms, check wiring for chafing or pinching damage.
3. Check wiring from MAF Sensor to ECM for short to B+.
1. Remove MAF Sensor connector.
2. Connect special tool 9616 to wiring harness.
3. Connect voltmeter to special tool 9616, pin 17 (plus) and ground.
4. Switch ignition on.
Specified Value: 0 Volt.
If meter reads battery voltage, check wiring for chafing or pinching damage.
