Information:
This is a supplement to the Technical Information Group 6, No.1/00 dated 9-15-2000 "Noises in the convertible top"

Complaint 10:
Squeaking from the side area of the main bow and the roof frame 3 on the left and right hand side.





Cause:
The rubber spacer that is positioned between the main bow and the roof frame (arrow, figure 1) is causing squeaking noises when the vehicle is driven.

Repair:
1. Open the convertible top half-way.

2. Apply lubricant (krytox) thinly onto the rubber spacer (arrow, figure 2).
