Concern:
Replacing the rear spoiler relay when installing a MY'02 instrument cluster in a MY'01 911 Turbo (996).

Information:

The MY'01 instrument cluster has been discontinued. There are still some MY'01 instrument clusters in the PDC inventory. After supplies have been used up, you must use the MY'02 instrument cluster for replacements. Please continue to order the MY 2001 instrument clusters until they become unavailable.

When installing a MY'2002 instrument cluster in a MY'2001 vehicle, the spoiler retraction relay must be changed. This is due to the "spoiler delayed switch-Off" function being moved from the retraction relay to the instrument cluster.

The spoiler retraction relay is located on Relay board 2, at position number 9.

CAUTION
AN INCORRECT RELAY CAN DAMAGE THE SPOILER DRIVE!
> In MY 01 vehicles with the 01 instrument cluster, the relay 996 615 122 00 controls the delayed switch-off function of the spoiler drive when retracting the spoiler.
> In MY' 02 vehicles, the delayed switch-off function is incorporated into the instrument cluster. Relay 996 615 102 00 is required for the MY' 02 instrument cluster.
