Fault Code 5527

Transfer via CAN not possible

Diagnostic conditions
- Ignition on

Possible cause of fault
- Open circuit in CAN drive between PSM and connection point 135 or 136
- 'High' and 'Low' swapped at at least one point in the CAN drive
- All control units (PSM excepted) connected directly to the CAN drive for the PSM are faulty or disconnected
- PSM control unit faulty

Affected pins
Pin 24 and pin 40

Diagnosis/troubleshooting for vehicles with manual transmission

Before troubleshooting, read out the fault memory of the DME and instrument cluster and remedy any faults present
