Signal Converter Faulty

Fault Code 39

Fault Effect: No engine start possible

Procedure

1. Check the power supply for the signal converter:

Disconnect the connector on the signal converter.

Voltmeter at plug housing pin 4 (negative) and pin 5 (positive). Ignition key inserted.

Display: Battery voltage

2. Check the control line for the signal converter (pin 6) to the alarm control unit plug I, pin 4 for continuity, positive short and ground short.

3. Check the status line for the signal converter (pin 7) to the alarm control unit plug I, pin 12 for continuity, positive short and ground short.

4. Check the data line for the signal converter (pin 8) to the alarm control unit plug I, pin 3 for continuity, positive short and ground short.
