Diagnostic conditions
- Ignition on
Possible cause of fault
- Incorrect coding
- Short circuit to B+/ground or open circuit in the wiring between the driver's belt buckle and the airbag triggering unit
- Driver's belt buckle faulty
- Triggering unit for airbag faulty
NOTE:
- When the coding is changed in the menu item 'Change coding; the ignition must always be switched oft afterwards and the key removed.
- After the ignition is switched on again, the new coding from the airbag triggering unit is updated and the stored faults can be erased.
