Function
The Tiptronic control module continually receives voltage (+ 30) via pin 26.
The adaption values are lost if this voltage fails and will have to be re-learned by the Tiptronic control module when it is restarted. The shifting quality can become worse during this "learning" period.

Diagnosis procedure






1 Check voltage at Tiptronic control module connector pin 26.
1. Pull off Tiptronic control module connector.
2. Connect voltmeter to Tiptronic control module connector pin 26 and ground.
Display: Battery positive voltage

2 Check wire from battery to Tiptronic control module for continuity.
1. Additionally disconnect battery.
2. Connect ohmmeter to Tiptronic control module connector pin 26 and battery cable B +.
Display: 0 ... 5 Ohms
If Infinite Ohms is displayed, check wiring harness for chafing and pinching damage.
