Tiptronic System G50

P1750

Voltage supply, solenoid valves/pressure regulators

Function

Voltage is supplied to the solenoid valves and pressure regulators via Tiptronic control module connector pin 52 and pin 53.
A fault is entered if the supply voltage falls below 9 V at an engine speed of > 1600 rpm.

Diagnosis conditions
- Engine speed > 1600 rpm
- Voltage > 9 V

Wiring diagram

Diagnosis procedure

1 Check positive supply wire for continuity.
1. Pull off Tiptronic control module connector.
2. Connect ohmmeter to Tiptronic control module connector pin 52 and pin 53.
Display: 0 ... 5 Ohms

If Infinite Ohms is displayed, check wiring harness for chafing and pinching damage.

1 Check positive supply wire for short circuit to ground.
1. Connect ohmmeter to Tiptronic control module connector pin 52 (or pin 53) and ground.
Display: Infinite Ohms

If 0 ... 5 Ohms is displayed, check wiring harness for chafing and pinching damage.

2 Check wire from Tiptronic control module to transmission connector for continuity.
1. Additionally separate connector on transmission.
2. Connect ohmmeter to Tiptronic control module connector pin 52 and transmission connector pin 12 (or pin 53 and 16).
Display: 0 ... 5 Ohms

If Infinite Ohms is displayed, check wiring harness for chafing and pinching damage.

2 Check wiring from Tiptronic control module to transmission connector for short circuit to ground.
1. Connect ohmmeter to Tiptronic control module connector pin 52 (or pin 53) and ground.
Display: Infinite Ohms

If 0 ... 5 Ohms is displayed, check wiring harness for chafing and pinching damage.
