CAN Bus Timeout, Air-conditioning System

Diagnostic conditions
- Ignition on
- PCM2 ON

Possible cause of fault
- CAN-Bus Comfort (high) open circuit
- CAN-Bus Comfort (high) open circuit

NOTE:
The CAN Comfort is connected to the following control units:
- PCM2 as of model year 2003
- Instrument cluster
- Air-conditioning control unit
- Radio

NOTE: The plug connections of control units connected to the CAN-Bus Comfort are disconnected for troubleshooting. This causes additional CAN-relevant fault codes, e.g. "8005 instrument cluster," "800A air conditioning" to be stored in the PCM2 fault memory. These fault codes should be initially ignored and should be deleted on completion of the troubleshooting.
