Diagnostic conditions
- Ignition on
- Switch for memory seat adjustment actuated

Possible cause of fault
- Short circuit in supply lead to hall-effect sensor
- Hall-effect sensor faulty
- Control module faulty

Affected terminals
- Plug 1, terminals 1 and 2
