Fault Code 4225

Incorrect wheel speed on one wheel
The fault is stored if the average speed of one front wheel differs by at least 5 % from the speed of the other wheels for longer than 20 s.

Diagnostic conditions
- Vehicle speed > 6 km/h

Possible cause of fault
- Incorrect tyre pressure or wheel size (collapsible wheel, spare wheel)
- Play in wheel bearing is too large
- Toothed ring/pulse ring is soiled or damaged
- Incorrect or faulty speed sensor
- ABS control unit faulty

Diagnosis/troubleshooting

If other faults in the ABS are indicated, then remedy these first.
