On Board Diagnostic
P0563
Voltage Supply - Above Limit
Function
The DME control module and the RAM cells are supplied with voltage via terminal 30. If the voltage exceeds or falls below the voltage limits, reliable storage of faults or adaptation values is no longer ensured.
Diagnosis conditions
- Speed > 0 km/h
- No fault in vehicle speed
- Time elapsed after start-up 60 sec.

Above limit
1 Perform adaptation.
1. Switch on the ignition.
2. Wait one minute.
Do not press the accelerator.
3. Switch off the ignition for at least 10 seconds.
4. Read out the fault memory.
2 Check wire, terminal 30, for contact resistance.
1. Connect special tool 9637 to wiring harness
(DME control module connector).
2. Connect voltmeter to special tool 9637, pin I/7 (positive), and ground.
Display: battery voltage
If no battery voltage is indicated, check wire from special tool 9637, pin I/7, to pin side of connector X 2/3, pin 2, for continuity. Check connectors for corrosion.
3. Check wire from connector X 2/3, sleeve side, to current distributor fuse C 1 for continuity.
