Porsche system Tester 2 (PST2): Diagnosis / control unit activation with software version 12.0.
Information:
Due to problems with PST2 version 12.0 software, the following procedures are not possible:
^ Diagnosis, DME Fault Memory - Reading out or deleting the fault memory cannot be carried out when performing a diagnosis.
^ Coding the control units - The instrument cluster, alarm system, PCM and parking assistant control units cannot be individually coded. However, the activation of all control units combined is possible by executing the "Vehicle Handover" operation, found in the "Special Functions" menu.
^ 911 Carrera (993) - The airbag control unit cannot be coded. You must reload software version 11.0 temporarily to perform this operation.
PST2 software version 12.1 will remedy these problems. It will be available by the end of September, 2001.
