Actual Values

It is possible to read out the unlock counter under the 'Actual values' menu item.

Menu item Function

- Blower speed, You can use this menu item to check the
air-conditioning function for detecting the blower speed in the air-conditioning system.
- Connect and start the 9588 Porsche System Tester II and switch on the ignition.
- Select '911 (996)' in the Vehicle type menu and confirm with the [>>] key.
- Select 'PCM' in the Control modules menu and confirm with the [>>] key.
- Select 'External BOSE amplifier' in the 911 (996) PCM2 function selection and confirm with the [>>] key.
- Select 'Actual values' in the 911 (996) external BOSE amplifier function selection and confirm with the [>>] key.
- Select 'Blower speed, air-conditioning' in the 911 (996) external BOSE amplifier function selection and confirm with the [>>] key.
- Read out values from the display field.

- Unlock counter Under this menu item, it is possible to check the electrical and optical MOST during troubleshooting.
- Connect and start the 9588 Porsche System Tester II and switch on the ignition.
- Select '911 (996)' in the Vehicle type menu and confirm with the [>>] key.
- Select 'PCM' in the Control modules menu and confirm with the [>>] key.
- Select "External BOSE amplifier" in the 911 (996) PCM2 function selection and confirm with the [>] key.
- Select 'Actual values' in the 911 (996) external BOSE amplifier function selection and confirm with the [>>] key.
- Select 'Unlock counter' in the 911 (996) external BOSE amplifier actual values function selection and confirm with the [>>] key.
- Read out values from the display field.

- Transmission errors Under this menu item, it is possible to check the electrical and optical MOST for transmission errors during troubleshooting.
- Connect and start the 9588 Porsche System Tester II and switch on the ignition.
- Select '911 (996)' in the Vehicle type menu and confirm with the [>>] key.
- Select 'PCM' in the Control modules menu and confirm with the [>>] key.
- Select "External BOSE amplifier" in the 911 (996) PCM2 function selection and confirm with the [>] key.
- Select 'Actual values' in the 911 (996) external BOSE amplifier function selection and confirm with the [>>] key.
- Select 'Transmission errors' in the 911 (996) external BOSE amplifier actual values function selection and confirm with the [>>] key.
- Read out values from the display field.

- Supply voltage You can use this menu item to check the supply voltage of the external BOSE amplifier.
- Connect and start the 9588 Porsche System Tester II and switch on the ignition.
- Select '911 (996)' in the Vehicle type menu and confirm with the [>>] key.
- Select 'PCM' in the Control modules menu and confirm with the [>>] key.
- Select "External BOSE amplifier" in the 911 (996) PCM2 function selection and confirm with the [>] key.
- Select 'Actual values' in the 911 (996) external BOSE amplifier function selection and confirm with the [>>] key.
- Select 'Supply voltage' in the 911 (996) external BOSE amplifier actual values function selection and confirm with the [>>] key.
- Read out values from the display field.
