Converting Holder For Hydraulic Pump (Cabriolet)

General

As of middle of model year 2003 a new hydraulic pump is used. This hydraulic pump can also be installed in all vehicles with a production date up to model year 2001 if the holder is also converted as well.

Procedure

1. Convertible top in service position
1.1. Refer to Removing and installing convertible top.

2. Removing hydraulic pump.
2.1. Remove hydraulic pump with holder. Refer to Removing and installing hydraulic pump.

3. Sawing off holder.







3.1. Saw off holder -1- from bracket -2- using a saw blade and saw blade holder -3-.

4. Enlarging through hole in bracket.







4.1. Enlarge through hole -4- in bracket -2- for correct fitting of fastening screw using a twist drill 6.0 mm -5-.

5. Installing new hydraulic pump.
5.1. Install hydraulic pump. Refer to Removing and installing hydraulic cylinders.
