Fault Code 36, - As Of MY 2002

CAN-time-out instrument cluster

NOTE:
- CAN comfort bus is connected to the following control modules:
- Instrument cluster
- Air-conditioning system regulator
- PCM2/CDR23 (if available)
- Communication between the Porsche System Tester II 9588 and the air-conditioning system regulator or the PCM2/CDR23 (if available) is attained via the instrument cluster and the CAN comfort bus.

Diagnostic conditions
- Ignition on

Possible cause of fault

NOTE: If both CAN comfort leads between the air-conditioning system regulator and instrument cluster is interrupted, there is no communication possible between the Porsche System Tester II 9588 and the air-conditioning system regulator.

- Open circuit of CAN high lead
- Open circuit of CAN low lead
- A faulty control unit connected to CAN comfort bus

Connector B, pin 1 and pin 2
