Removing And Installing Micro Switch For Rear Side Section Flap

Removing microswitches

INFORMATION: The upper and lower microswitches are one replacement part. If one microswitch is defective, both must be replaced.

1. Remove rear side section flap.
1.1. Refer to Removing and installing rear side section flap

2. Remove upper microswitch -1- with the holder.







2.1. Turn threaded spindle until the fastening screws -2- can be unscrewed with an angle screwdriver (Torx T10).

3. Loosen line routing
3.1. Pinch off tie-wrap under the microswitch.
3.2. Remove line from the retaining clip.

INFORMATION: When removing the lower microswitch, it must be assumed that the microswitch will be destroyed.

4. Remove lower microswitch -3-







4.1. Carefully lever off the microswitch with a screwdriver.

5. Loosen line routing
5.1. Pinch off tie-wrap under the microswitch.

6. Unlock secondary locking of the plug connection







6.1. Unlock both sides by inserting a small screwdriver and shift in the direction of the arrow. The figure -inset- shows the secondary locking unlocked.

7. Unlock the old contacts of the microswitch wires, and remove.







7.1. Unlocking tool to unlock the old contacts in the plug connection
7.2. Unlock the old contacts of the micro-switch wires with the unlocking tool and remove.
7.3. grey in pin 3
7.4. blue in pin 4
7.5. black in pin 5

Installing microswitch

1. Install new contacts of the microswitch wires
1.1. Reinstall the new contacts of the microswitch wires in the same position and close the secondary locking of the plug connection with a small screwdriver again.

2. Install and fasten upper microswitch -1- with bracket







2.1. Turn threaded spindle until the fastening screws -2- can be screwed down with an angle screwdriver (Torx T10).

3. Fasten the line routing
3.1. Fasten the line under the upper microswitch with a tie wrap.
3.2. Position line in the retaining clip.

4. Install lower microswitch
4.1. Install lower microswitch and fasten the fastening points (plastic) with the retaining clips or carefully heat them with a soldering iron until the material starts to flow. The microswitch must be seated firmly in the fastening points after the material cools.

5. Fasten the line routing
5.1. Fasten the cable under the lower microswitch with a tie wrap.

6. Install rear side section flap.
6.1. Refer to Removing and installing rear side section flap
