Fault Code 9

Closing aid micro switch pre-notch, Signal implausible

Diagnostic conditions
- Ignition on
- Targa rear window first locked and then unlocked

Possible cause of fault
- Open circuit between the micro switch pre-notch and the control module
- Micro switch pre-notch in the closing aid defective

NOTE:
- The status of the three micro switches in the closing aid for the Targa rear window can be read out in the menu item Input signals under Closing aid switch I to III.
- There are 3 micro switches in total in the closing aid module
- Fault code 9 is always entered when the rear window is not unlocked even though the closing aid has been activated. This may occur when the rear window is covered in heavy ice.
- Fault code 9 is only entered after the 3rd unsuccessful attempt to unlock the rear window.
