Work Procedure: Perform window motor replacement as follows:
1. Remove The Window Motor
1.1. Close door windows.
1.2. Disconnect the battery and cover the positive terminal.
Warning: There is a danger of injury from the airbag and door power windows (comfort function) if the battery is not disconnected. Wait at least one minute before beginning work on the vehicle once the battery is disconnected.
1.3. Remove door trim panel and loudspeaker unit.
1.4. Expose the power window motor and loudspeaker openings by carefully removing the molded foam liner (moisture barrier) from the inner door. Be careful not to tear the liner. Refer to Disassembling and assembling door.
1.5. Remove the three window regulator fastening nuts (M6/10 mm collar nuts). Lift power window regulator unit out of the door enough to unlock and remove the electrical connector plug.
1.6. Remove the power window motor fastening bolts (integrated with stud, 13 mm wrench size). Remove the window motor through the loudspeaker opening.
2. Install New Window Motor
2.1. Position the new power window motor through the loudspeaker opening and mount it to the window regulator with the fastening bolts. Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb) - this torque applies to both the 13 mm fastening bolts and M6/10 mm collar nuts.
2.2. Connect electrical plug, ensuring it is completely engaged. Lower power window unit into the door and fasten to the inner door panel with the M6 collar nuts.
2.3. Carefully restick the molded foam liner (moisture barrier) to the inside of the door in the proper position. Install loudspeaker unit and door trim panel.
2.4. Connect the battery. Input the radio code or PCM code, if necessary.
3. Setting (Standardizing) The Window End Positions
3.1. Switch the ignition on.
3.2. Fully open the door window by holding down the power window button until the window stops.
3.3. Fully close the window by holding the power window raise button until the blockage detection function switches off the power window motor. Note: this should occur approximately 0.5 second after the window reaches the full-up position.
4. Perform A Function Test.
