Fault Code 3

Convertible top pot. fault
This fault is entered if the signal input voltage is not within the normal operating range of 0.5 V to 4.4 V three times in succession.

Diagnostic conditions
- Completely open and close convertible top 3 times

Possible cause of fault
- Short circuit to positive, earth or in the wiring between convertible top control unit and potentiometer (convertible top position)
- Potentiometer (convertible top position) faulty
- Convertible top control unit defective

Affected pins
Plug A, pin 12, pin 21 and pin 24
