Side Airbag Unit, Sensor Removal

WARNING: Danger of injury and damage to property as a result of incorrect handling of airbag units.

Please observe the following points:
- After an accident the sensor of the triggered side airbag unit must be examined for damage.
- The sensor must be replaced after the side airbag has been triggered for the third time.


NOTE: Sensors for triggering the side airbag unit are fastened on the inner lower side member on the left and right-hand sides in the vehicle.







- The cover strip and the support on the lower side member must be removed.
