Fault Code 4

Convertible-top compartment lid pot. fault
This fault is entered if the signal input voltage is not within the normal voltage range of 0.3 V to 4.7 V three times in succession.

Diagnostic conditions
- Completely open and close convertible top 3 times

Possible cause of fault
- Short circuit to positive, earth or in the wiring between convertible top control module and potentiometer (convertible-top compartment lid position)
- Potentiometer (convertible-top compartment lid position) faulty
- Convertible top control module defective

Affected pins
Plug C, pin 1, pin 3 and pin 5
