Fault Code 7

Supply voltage
The fault is entered if the voltage at the input of terminal 15 is not within the normal voltage range of approximately 9 V to 15 V when operated three times in succession.

Diagnostic conditions
- Switch on all possible loads to load the vehicle electrical supply voltage and to do this:
- Switch on the ignition and completely open and close convertible top 3 times using the switch, remote control (not USA) or comfort opening/closing function
- Allow engine to idle and completely open and close convertible top 3 times using the switch
- Engine fast idle speed and completely open and close convertible top 3 times using the switch
- Carry out a test drive and completely open and close convertible top 3 times using the switch

Possible cause of fault
- Undervoltage in vehicle electrical supply due to weak battery or faulty generator
- Overvoltage in vehicle electrical supply due to faulty generator
- Short circuit to ground or open circuit in the wiring between terminal 15 power supply and convertible top control module
- Convertible top control module defective
