Fault Code 4460

Pressure Sensor
Pressure sensor actual value is evaluated and displays an implausible value

Diagnostic conditions
- Ignition on for at least 2 s, brake released
- Then engine running, brake released
- Actuate brake once
- Short test drive > 50 km/h (at least 30 s) and one short burst on full throttle (approx. 1 s) without PSM/ASR/ABS control

NOTE: Sometimes the cause of a fault is readily apparent at 'ignition on', in which case a test drive is not necessary until the fault is remedied.

Possible cause of fault
- Adjustment of the stop light switch not OK
- Brake light switch faulty
- Short circuit to B+/ground or open circuit in control unit circuit
- Booster pump faulty
- Pressure sensor faulty (hydraulic unit)
