Removing and Installing Housing For Rearview Mirror







Removing housing for rear-view mirror
1. Remove the rearview mirror.
2. Remove mirror glass.







3. Remove suppressor on mirror base.







4. Fold back door rearview mirror.
5. Press the retaining lug on the lower mirror housing -A- inwards and pull mirror housing outwards -B- until the retaining lug can no longer engage in the mirror cover.







6. Press the upper retaining lug on the mirror cover apart with a screwdriver -arrow A- and remove upper mirror cover towards the rear.
7. Unscrew fastening screws -B- on the lower mirror cover.







8. Unlock connector on mirror adjusting motor with 2 screwdrivers -arrow A- and remove -arrow B-.







9. Unscrew fastening screws -arrow- and remove mirror adjusting motor.







10. Unlock retaining lugs on lower part of mirror cover with a suitable screwdriver -arrow A- and remove lower mirror cover towards the rear -arrow B-.







11. Unscrew fastening screws on the cover -arrow-.

NOTE: To prevent paint damage, fold the mirror forwards until it engages firmly before removing the cover.







12. Unscrew cover on the inside -arrow A- and remove -arrow B-.







13. Press retaining clip on the rear side together with a suitable caliper -arrow A- and pull retaining clip out -arrow B-.

Installing housing for rear-view mirror







1. Fold mirror base forward until it engages firmly.
2. Push mirror housing cover inwards -arrow A- and turn towards the mirror base on the inside -arrow B-.
3. Attach cover with the fastening screws -C-.







4. Link up connector to the mirror adjusting motor -arrow A- until the connector lock -arrow B- engages firmly.







5. Install and screw down mirror adjusting motor -arrow-.







6. Push mirror housing in underneath -arrow A- until the retaining log engages firmly -arrow B-.
7. Screw down mirror housing underneath -arrow C-.







8. Secure upper mirror housing in lower mirror housing -A- and fold onto mirror cover -B- until the retaining lug -C- locks with an audible click.







9. Secure centering clip on the mirror base with a retaining lug.
10. Turn the centering clip -arrow- until the second retaining lug engages firmly in the mirror base.







11. Install mirror base suppressor.
12. Install mirror glass.
13. Install the rearview mirror.
