Removing crankshaft belt pulley
ATTENTION Risk of damage!
^ If the tool slips or if the tool is faulty, the wings can be damaged as a result of excessive force.
^ Ensure that the tool is seated correctly.
1. Block the crankshaft belt pulley using an arm bracket and undo the central screw (a/f 27). Do not use the screw again.
2. Remove the central screw and pull the pulley down and forward.
Installing crankshaft belt pulley
Note:
^ A key is inserted into the crankshaft. When fitting the belt pulley, ensure that the key slots into the groove in the belt pulley.
^ The key must not fall into the engine.
1. Position the belt pulley on the crankshaft stub. Then press the belt pulley slightly in the direction of the engine, while at the same time twisting it until it slips definitively in the direction of the timing case cover. When doing so, pay attention to the key. --> Key
2. Screw the new central screw into the crankshaft.
3. Block the crankshaft belt pulley using an arm bracket and tighten the central screw (a/f 27) to the specified tightening torque. For torque-angle screws, use the torque angle torque key NR.88 (or a mechanical angle disc for torque-angle threaded joints NR.88-1). Attach the magnetic foot to a metal part and set the scale by turning the pointer to 0. Initial tightening: 74 ft-lb. Final tightening: 90°
Subsequent work
1. Fit drive belt.
2. Fit cowl for throttle body.
3. Secure lock carrier.
