Preliminary work sealing ring for output flange
1. Remove rear final drive
Removing sealing ring for output flange
1. Remove output flange with special tool striker vw 771 / 1 and shop-made tool.
2. Remove sealing ring with special tool striker vw 771 / 1 extraction tool vw 771/ 37.
Installing sealing ring for output flange
1. Replace circlip on flange shaft.
2. Drive in new sealing ring with special tool pressure piece t10181 until the special tool touches the transmission housing.
3. Install output flange.
Subsequent work
Reworking sealing ring for output flange
1. Install rear final drive.
