External Bose Amplifier: 8003

8003 External BOSE amplifier

Fault in front left and rear right loudspeaker channel.

Diagnostic conditions
- Ignition on.
- PCM2/CDR23 ON

NOTE:
- Fault code 8003 is recorded in the PCM2 MMI if the operating buttons are actuated for '≥ 1 Min.'.
- Deactivate the 'automatic traffic announcement' before performing the diagnosis on the PCM2. If this is not done, the diagnosis will abort.

Possible cause of fault
- Short circuit to B+/ground in the wiring harness
- Short circuit - loudspeaker faulty
- Short circuit - amplifier faulty

Affected pin
External BOSE amplifier, plug A, pin 27, pin 32, pin 26, pin 31.
