Fault code 0003

Control unit faulty

NOTE:
- Only if the fault code 0003 'Control unit faulty' appears in the 9588 Porsche System Tester II in conjunction with the red warning in the instrument cluster 'Air spring warning', can a fault in the control unit be assumed.
- If no red warning appears in the instrument cluster or if the message 'Air spring warning' is not displayed, then the fault can be erased.
- If, in addition to fault code 0003 'Control unit faulty', one of the fault codes 0774, 0775, 0776 or 1780 is entered in the 'level adjustment' control unit, then an open circuit in the line from one of the level sensors or from the vehicle level sensor to the control unit can also be the cause of fault code 0003. In this case, fault code 0003 must be deleted and the open circuit to one of the level sensors or the vehicle level sensor must be repaired.

- Internal function test on level adjustment control unit

- Incorrect interpretation in control unit
- Open circuit to a level sensor or the vehicle level sensor
- Level adjustment control unit faulty
