Diagnostic conditions
- Ignition on
- Internal function test of steering column switch (with electronic unit)

Possible cause of fault
- Lower limit value exceeded (battery positive voltage of vehicle battery is too low)
- Upper limit value exceeded (battery positive voltage of vehicle battery is too high)

Affected pins
- Steering column switch (with electronic unit), plug A: Pin 2
- Fuse in fuse carrier at left of dashboard: F33 (5A)

Diagnosis/troubleshooting

NOTE:
Battery positive voltage: A battery positive voltage of between 11.4 and 14.5 V is required for the following troubleshooting procedure. This must be checked and ensured, if necessary. On the vehicle electrical system, the voltage must be ensured up to the fuse (input side).
