Level Adjustment

Fault code 0774

Vehicle level sensor, rear left

Diagnostic conditions
- Ignition on
- Internal level control module function test

Possible cause of fault
- Short circuit to B+ in the wiring of pin 90 of the level control module (electrical fault in electric circuit)
- Short circuit to ground in the wiring of pin 90 of the level control module (electrical fault in electric circuit)
- Open circuit in one or more wires connected to pins 90, 75 and 64 of the level control module (electrical fault in electric circuit)
- Level control module receives implausible signal from vehicle level sensor
- If implausible signal is received from vehicle level sensor, perform calibration --> Group 4 - Running gear (Rep. Gr. 43-2)
- Vehicle level sensor faulty
- Level control module faulty

Affected pins
Level control module, plug A:
- Pin 64
- Pin 75

Level control module, plug B:
- Pin 90

Rear left vehicle level sensor, plug A:
- Pin 1
- Pin 5
- Pin 6

WARNING:
Danger of personal injury from lowering vehicle independently when working on and underneath the vehicle.
- The normal level must always be set and the level control switched off when the vehicle is raised with the jack or platform lift.


Diagnosis/troubleshooting

NOTE: If a vehicle level sensor or the level control module is replaced, it must be calibrated using the 9588 Porsche System Tester II.
