Fault code 1474Antenna for monitoring tyre pressure, rear left
NOTE: Systems with a transmission frequency of 315 MHz are installed in vehicles for Asian and Arab countries for legal reasons. The wheel electronics and the antenna can be identified by the light grey colour. The components must not be interchanged with components from the other 433 MHz systems.
Diagnostic conditions
- Ignition on
- Control module for tyre pressure monitoring system, internal function test
Possible cause of fault
- Wiring for rear left antenna faulty (open circuit and/or short circuit)
- Rear left antenna faulty
Affected pins
Control module plug:
- Pin 9 'antenna RL 1'
- Pin 25 'antenna RL 2'
- Pin 8 'Ground RL'
Diagnosis/troubleshooting
NOTE: The resistance of the antenna cannot be reliably measured in antennae of the 315 MHz variety (light grey colour).
