Diagnostic conditions
- Ignition on
- Internal wiper motor control module function test

Possible causes of fault
- Windscreen or silicone cushion faulty or soiled
- Open circuit or short circuit in signal lead
- Rain sensor/light sensor faulty
- Wiper control module or vehicle electrical system control module coded incorrectly (incorrect sensor selected)

Affected pins
- Wiper plug: pin 5
- Rain sensor/light sensor plug: pin 1, pin 2, pin 3
