NOTE: The buzzer is also referred to as a loudspeaker or tone generator
Diagnostic conditions
- Ignition on
- ParkAssist control unit internal function test
- Selector lever position in transmission range R or N
Possible cause of fault
- Wiring connection between control unit and buzzer faulty
- Buzzer faulty
- ParkAssist control unit faulty
Affected pins
Plug A for ParkAssist control unit:
- Pin 9 'PDC tone generator +'
- Pin 10 'PDC tone generator, signal'
Buzzer plug:
- Pin 1 '1'
- Pin2 '2'
Diagnosis/troubleshooting
NOTE: To power the buzzer, the ignition must be switched on.
