Fault code 2511AWS control unit
NOTE:
- This fault entry can be finally deleted from the airbag triggering unit only if:
- the fault has been corrected in the AWS system and
- the fault code has been deleted from the AWS control unit fault memory and
- a terminal 86S reset has been performed after deletion from the fault memory (to do this, select menu item "Reset" or remove the ignition key from the ignition lock for at least 30 seconds).
Diagnostic conditions
- Ignition on
- Internal function test on airbag triggering unit
- Internal function test on AWS control unit
Possible cause of fault
- Short circuit to B+/ground or open circuit in the wiring between the AWS control unit and the airbag triggering unit
- Implausible signal or no signal from AWS control unit via wiring
- Fault in AWS system
- Unknown AWS control unit installed
- AWS control unit faulty
