Fault code 2688AWS calibration required
NOTE:
- This fault entry can be finally deleted from the airbag triggering unit only if:
- the fault has been corrected in the AWS system and
- the fault code has been deleted from the AWS control unit fault memory and
- a terminal 86S reset has been performed after deletion from the fault memory (to do this, select menu item "Reset" or remove the ignition key from the ignition lock for at least 30 seconds).
Diagnostic conditions
- Ignition on
- Internal function test on airbag triggering unit
- AWS control unit reset performed (see above)
- Internal function test on AWS control unit
Possible cause of fault
- A triggering event (accident or similar) has taken place
- Fault in AWS system - not calibrated
