800A - CD Changer

Mechanical fault while ejecting magazine

Diagnostic conditions
- Ignition switched on
- PCM2 or CDP23 switched on
- Functional audio CD inserted correctly in CD changer
- Start CD changer
- Magazine damaged
- Magazine deformed

NOTE:
- Fault code 8003 is recorded in the PCM2 MMI/CDR23 if the operating buttons are actuated for '≥ 1 minute'.
- Deactivate the 'automatic traffic announcement' before performing the diagnosis on the PCM2/CDR23 If this is not done, the diagnosis will abort (applies only to software version < 03)

Possible cause of fault
- Magazine damaged or deformed
- CD changer faulty

NOTE:
- The MOST optical wave guide is connected to the following control modules:
- PCM2 or CDR23
- CD changer
- External BOSE amplifier (optional)
- Telephone/telematics
