Fault in internal memory

Diagnostic conditions
- Ignition switched on
- PCM2 or CDP23 switched on
- Functional audio CD inserted correctly in CD changer
- CD changer selected

NOTE:
- Fault code 8003 is recorded in the PCM2 MMI/CDR23 if the operating buttons are actuated for '≥ 1 minute'
- Deactivate the 'automatic traffic announcement' before performing the diagnosis on the PCM2/CDR23 If this is not done, the diagnosis will abort (applies only to software version number < 03)

Possible cause of fault
- CD changer faulty
- Memory problem in MOST control module

NOTE:
- The MOST optical wave guide is connected to the following control modules:
- PCM2 or CDR23
- CD changer
- External BOSE amplifier
- Telephone/telematics (optional)
