Diagnostic conditions
- Ignition on
- Internal control unit function test
- Starter battery (second battery) must be coded
- Engine running/off

Possible causes of fault
- 'Fault', no recharging regulation of starter battery; can lead to discharge of battery (second battery)
- 'Fault', recharging regulation of starter battery permanently activated

Affected pins
Plug 'J' on vehicle electrical system control unit:
- Pin 9 'Starter battery cutoff relay (second battery)/charging relay'
- Pin 10 'Starter battery cutoff relay (second battery)/charging relay'
