Engine temperature sensor - no signal

Diagnostic conditions 1
- Engine temperature between -10 °C and 140 °C or substitute value
- Vehicle speed < 10 km/h (6 mph)
- Mass air flow between 8 kg/h and 36 kg/h

Diagnostic conditions 2
- Engine temperature between -10 °C and 140 °C or substitute value
- Vehicle speed between 50 km/h and 130 km/h (31 mph and 80 mph)
- Mass air flow > 12 kg/h or between 96 kg/h and 240 kg/h

Possible cause of fault
- Engine temperature sensor faulty
- DME control module faulty

NOTE: This fault is stored if the temperature signal remains at a fixed value outside of the thermostat's control range for too long ('signal stuck')

Affected terminals
DME control module plug B, pin 93, and pin 1 of engine temperature sensor
DME control module plug B, pin 108, and pin 2 of engine temperature sensor (sensor ground)
