Crankshaft sensor - signal implausible

Diagnostic conditions
- Engine running

Possible cause of fault
- Corrosion in plug connections
- Open circuit
- Short circuit to B+ or ground
- Sensor faulty


Affected terminals
DME control module plug B, pin 82, and pin 3 of crankshaft sensor plug
DME control module plug B, pin 90, and pin 2 of crankshaft sensor plug
DME control module plug B, pin 108, and pin 1 of crankshaft sensor plug

NOTE:
The crankshaft sensor also determines the reference mark
