Clutch Pedal Switch "A" Circuit

Diagnostic conditions
- Battery voltage between 10 V and 16 V
- Normal journey with several gear changes

Possible cause of fault
- Vehicle is driven without operating the clutch
- Open circuit in the voltage supply to the clutch switch
- Clutch switch faulty
- Open circuit in control wire
- DME control module faulty

Affected pins
DME control module connector A, pin 39

Diagnosis/troubleshooting

NOTE:
- The diagnostic function monitors whether a signal also comes from the clutch switch during gear change. This fault is stored in memory if a certain number of gear changes are detected without a signal from the clutch switch.
- The fault is detected by the DME control module and passed to the CAN.
